Sarah Wilson's new book, I Quit Sugar For Life, shot straight to number 1 on its release a few weeks ago and has been sitting there ever since.
I had the great pleasure, of not only photographing Sarah's cookbook, but also stuffing my face with all of the yummy sugar free recipes, and the best part about it...I did not feel the least bit guilty! Some of my favourite recipes were: the not so nicoise cauliflower pizza, korean pork tacos and the choc caramel chunk and peanut butter cheesecake. I can't believe there's no sugar!
For those who know my work, would know that I usually photograph fashion and advertising. I stumbled across the idea of shooting food after meeting Sarah in Byron Bay through a mutual friend. After a conversation about an upcoming ecookbook she was working on, I was not long after shooting it in Melbourne.
I then had the opportunity to shoot my first debut cookbook, I Quit Sugar. After a huge success in sales, it then lead to book number 2, I Quit Sugar For Life. I must admit I'm a little excited and proud of its success. For someone who does not normally shoot food, I now have a passion for it.
A huge thank you to Sarah for having me to be a part of her IQS journey, Ingrid at Pan Macmillan, Trisha Garner - for her gorgeous book design, Lee Blaylock - the amazing stylist, and assistant - Rochelle Seator. I had a ball working with you all and thank you for the laughs on set and for feeding me so much yummy food!
