When I was asked by my good friend, Helen Kapalos, to create a book for the Victorian Multicultural Commission I wholeheartedly jumped at the chance. Helen is the Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission. The brief was to produce a book that celebrated Victoria's modern, multicultural society and conveyed the message that we all belong...and are 'Proud to Belong'. Since October of last year I met and photographed a number of incredibly inspiring citizens, each with their own unique story to share.

'Proud to Belong' was launched at the Premier's Gala Dinner 2018 last Saturday night where 1500 guests received a copy of the book. The room was adorned with huge banners of some of the portraits I took of the beautiful people I met. These portraits are also currently pasted up all over Melbourne to promote Cultural Diversity Week; which runs until 25 March.

It was an absolute honour and a privilege to be a part of this wonderful project and I am so grateful to have made so many special friends along the way. I am indeed very proud to belong in the multicultural hub that is Victoria, where almost half of us were either born overseas or have at least one parent who was born overseas.

My solo exhibition, Raw Formation: Gold Series, is currently showing until Friday 18th August at Au79 Cafe (27-29 Nicholson St, Abbotsford). I wanted to share with you how I put the pieces together and my process from start to finish. Hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making!

I'm fortunate to have been shooting for Business State from the beginning. It is such a fabulous publication that explores and celebrates small businesses (well all businesses really) around Victoria. I have met so many great people and learnt a lot about a number of very interesting industries. Issue 6 is out now in print and digital form. Below are some of my shots featured in the issue.

I had so much fun shooting this series with such lovely, talented people. The story features in Acclaim Magazine and you can view it here.

What is more Melbourne than a tram? A Bank of Melbourne tram perhaps?!

Over 2 days I had a heap of fun meeting and shooting some of our city's biggest "makers"; as part of Bank of Melbourne's "For the Makers" campaign.

The trams will be running throughout the month all over Melbourne. A big thanks to everyone involved and a special mention to Guy Grossi - what a legend!
